What to do around ?

Restaurants

Fayence and the surrounding villages offer a variety of excellent restaurants. Fayence itself has more than 15 restaurants open during the high season. During january and february, only a few of them are open.

Some restaurants in Fayence with walking distance from La Maison de Platane :

Le France, 100 meters from our B&B. One of our favorite restaurants that we really can recommend. Typical provencal food cooked with high quality, familiar atmosphere where Jean and his wife Sylvie welcomes you.

Le Temps des Cerises, 100 meters from our B&B, mentioned in Guide Michelin. Lovely terrace and a great truffle pasta. Louis, the owner is Dutch so you can also have Indonesian food.

La Farigoulette, at the top of the hill, 30 meters from or B&B. The new owners (from September 2023) offer French cuisine and Italian dishes.

Le Bis, 30 meters, lovely pizza!

Le Provencal, 200 meters, the owners Marty and Lauren will welcome you. They serve both traditional French food but also dishes with inspiration from different parts of world. On saturday evenings they serve lighter food, like charcuterie (planches), and they offert take-away food on sundays and mondays.

Le 8, 300 meters, like having dinner at a good friend’s house.

La Vigne Vincent, 10 minutes’ walk, situated in the neighbor village Tourrettes, Wonderful view over the valley and they serve brunch on Sundays.

Le Moondi’s, set in an authentic and cozy Provencal setting, offers traditional French cuisine with dishes prepared in a wood-fired oven. Visitors can also browse a varied selection of local, regional, and international products in its grocery store.

Restaurants close by, but not walking distance :

Moulin de la Camandoule, is also a very nice restaurant and hotel down in the valley.

Chez Hugo, situated in Seillans, 10 minutes’ drive from Fayence. The chef Hugo will serve excellent, tasty dishes. This is one of our favourite restaurants. Do not forget to try the Hugo Spitz !

Les Deux Rocs, in Seillans, mentioned in Guide Michelin. You sit under the Platanes, by the old fountain and enjoy a good French menu.
